September is almost over but the weather is still lovely up here. It’s been a relief not to be making lampwork beads in over 30 degrees heat, I must say… I’ve been putting some dichroic glass in the centre of some pendants to give a subtle sparkle and as I understand it’s a thing now, some of them have a thumb depression on one side so you can fiddle with them when bored or anxious!
Lovely new hares have bounced into the studio – glass ones from Terrie Clifft and some small ceramic ones from Terry Larwood (is it something in the name I wonder?) Anyway for more details check them out in their pages in “Other Artists” – both are local.
I have long been a fan of little hardshell boxes to keep my earrings in, especially when travelling, and I finally found some lovely ones at a great price. Not locally made but very, very practical for keeping little things safe. But even more exciting (I know, little things please little minds) are the pin badges I found. They are mostly hilarious and I found a disturbing number of them seem to speak directly to me… especially the one about ducks and squirrels… find them in the Accessories section.
